Eastertide!

Lent was a season of action, a solemn opportunity to go without a pleasure, to remember are bodies are just dust. Eastertide is also a season for action. It's our season to act joyfully! Christ is risen! He has conquered death! And for a brief season, Jesus walked this earth in his resurrection body, enjoying good food and friends. Let's celebrate. Let's act like we've received the greatest gift: the promise of an eternal, perfected resurrection body of our own.

Christ has in fact been raised from the dead. In so doing He became the "first fruit" — that is, the first produce, the first to be resurrected with an incorruptible, immortal body — foreshadowing the resurrection of those whose bodies have "fallen asleep" in death.
